DID rings into site a then is transferred to a hunt group at site b
4 digit dialing works between sites

i see the call in SSA ring to site a then transfer to the ring group but never makes it to site b just queues. I built a brand new hunt group with the same results. Same thing happens if they dial the hg extension they just get ringing and it never dials to site b.

Rebooted both sites and the vpn. This has been working for about 3 years and randomly stopped. Any ideas?

is it queueing at site b? maybe no agents are available and that's the reason for the queueing

No it's just not ringing over.

System shows queuing in SSA on site a but none of the users/ext are in use in site b. if I program the did to point to one of the extensions that is a member of the group it rings through no problem

From site A, are you able to call the hunt group extension directly? also how is the hunt group configured at site B?

What happens if you create the HG at site A and stuff the members from site B in that one?

Kind regards

Gunnar

Make the group a Announced group at site B, then it is availableable from any site, that is what that option is build for.

I took it for granted that he had that in place [smile]

Kind regards

intrigant do you mean advertised? it is set that way. And like i said this has been working for years and randomly stopped. If you dial an extension in site a from site b it rings through no problem and vice versa. But if you dial the ring group from site a they just hear ringing but the call does not make it to site b. In SSA in site a you see the call show up as queueing and in site B sea there is no log of the call ever making it there

Kind regards

try the following:
Create a unique shortcode like this:
SC = *99 ( use a unique code )
TN = the four digit group number at the remote site
Action = dial
Line ID = the outgoing SCN trunk ID towards site B

Dial the shortcode on Site a, Does it ring on the group on site B?
If yes then there is a user, group or shortcode blocking you to call the advertised group in site B, this user or group can be on any SCN site, in case of a shortcode it can only be a local code.
Check everything which starts with the same number as the advertised group, also check names as SCN depends a lot on names.
Names in a SCN are checked from left to right, the first match is used so two groups:
Reception 1 and Reception 12 can generate a conflict, in my experience only names longer as eight characters are to be watched out for.
If the advertised group has number 1234 then any user, group or shortcode with the number 1, 12 or 123 will cause problems.
If the system name is the same as the group name then you have a party also, always use a unique name for the system.
A way to check all the names in a SCN is to use phone manager and browse the directory, if your group name is not there then it is masked by another lookalike name.

Can you try to remove the SCN trunk, reboot and recreate the trunk again.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I have had similar troubles on certain versions of IPO where calls would not transfer to the remote group correctly
I believe if is a known issue & has been resolved in a later maintenance release.

our work around was to create the group on site A but program it with users from site B.

yes I've been trying to get them to upgrade from 7 for about a year and a half now, maybe this will force them.

Do you know what release you were experiencing issues?
