Hello,
As the subject header goes.
wepmgr dies very frequently. I have no idea why, and how. the epmgrlog doesn't show any abnormalities.
Has anyone experienced this, or has any idea?
thanks

Check to see if you may be running out of file descriptors on the box. Also if you are running ITM 5.0 there was a time when the ITM was hitting the epmgr several times a second.
Are you seeing a core file? How large of an endpoint environment do you have? Have you run the wepmgr fsck?
Hello jrsimmo.
A bit more description on the environment. No ITM. just purely DM TEC & Maestro.(yes the old product!)
Currently I am managing about 200 endpoints on Spoke. (Which is very very little!), but in the customers environment, there are a lot more end-points that do not belong to my region, and they are happily trying to logon to spoke. Hence the logon script.
I do not see any core file. I do not even see any indication of the wepmgr terminating. It just stops running.
Currently, I have a simple ksh while loop.
it starts wepmgr every 5 seconds, and at the end of the day we do a wepmgr fsck.
Problem still exists.
I've found the answer.....
Apparently someone turned on NAT = TRUE .It's supposed to be false, and when we reverted back to False, the wepmgr stays alive.
