My wireless network has a WEp password, but whenever I try to log on to the network it reverts to an incorrect password. I have to delete and copy/paste the real one every time. I have tried deleting the network and adding a new one with the correct password, but it still reverts to the old incorrect one. I have tried changing it as well in the properties and it never registers. Any ideas?

Thanks

Are you using the XP native Wireless Zero Configuration to configure the network adapter, or the wireless network adapter utility that was supplied by the manufacturer? From your symptoms it could be that you are trying to use both.

It is an either or proposition.

one other thing, its best to type the password via KB rather than relying on cut/paste. some dell truemobile s/w will not accept pasted keys.

I am using the XP native utility, and I have tried my methods by typing the whole password out. Same results.
