Er, as i'm the only one here right now, and i don't have any expertise in this language (d-loaded it two weeks ago), the most i can do right now is point anyone who care to the english page: There you can download your own version and start playing with it in your spare time. I hear it's really popular in japan (their Perl conference is called the Perl and Ruby conference), as it was originally developed there.
My level of skill at present is barely sufficient to duplicate my simple perl scripts and programs over to ruby. It's a very object oriented language (as far as i can tell, everything, i mean EVERYTHING, acts like an object), and in general, i think it's a very powerful language. If you know perl, ruby should be easy to pick up.
I hope more programmers start playing with this language so i can start finding out new nuances, qwirks and syntaxes.
