I have a user with Windows XP Pro SP2 on his laptop.
We use Outlook 2000 currently as our email client on an Exchange 2003 Server.

The problem seems to have arisen in the past few weeks.

When he right clicks on a file and chooses "send to" it now opens netscape mail instead of outlook.
Internet Options-Programs is set to Outlook as the email program.

I have also looked through the Netscape settings and don't see any reference to Compser as the default email application, although Netscape is the default browser.

It does not seem to coincide with software installation, as Netscape 7.0 has been this users browser for years.
SP2 was installed today, so it's installation was not responsible for this.

Any ideas, anyone?

Because there is an Exchange server involved, I can only summarize the issue.

There is only on application declared as the MAPI client. This has nothing to do with the options available under Tools, Internet Options, Programs.

The MAPI definition is quite seperate, and depends on whether OE or any other (Netscape in your case) MAPI declaration has been made. This MAPI definition defines how the Send-to feature is handled.

Google "outlook as MAPI client" or "XP MAPI client"
