weirdest thing! anyone has any ideas?

hi,

we just upgraded a opt11c to 5.50j, new ssc, changed out mmail to cp and to a new miran3. nothing else was touch but after the upgrade the digital phones were swapping programming. ex. the switchroom phone m2008 has 2 lines with the rest of the buttons blank but after the cut the phone would work then it would have the keys of an acd set.
numbers would appear and disappear from a phone. when dialing out on a 3900 set another set in the office would show the digits you were dialing. after much changes we moved 1 of 3 dlc and left the original slot open and the trouble cleared. we didn't change the cab or any dlc nor did we touch or move them on the upgrade. any ideas?

Nortel calls that "design intent" I believe

i'd start by looking at the sets firmware? other than that blame it on the direction of the wind.

You might also want to check your patch levels. Did all the loadware patches get applied to the MGC cards?

thanks guys,

firmware wasn't updated but we did do it that night. it was funny that the update stopped on the phones on the same dlc we moved. after we moved it the other phones updated properly. no we don't have a mgc its not a cs1000e system.
but the wind was blowing hard today....thanks for the suggestions from the peanut gallery lol....we gotta keep the humor or we'll all go mad. hahaha. latest deplist was loaded.
