HI All

I have try to solve this NAT thing on my desktop for almost 2 weeks and are really at lost.

I have installed VMware evaluation version on both my laptop and desktop. Have also installed Ubuntu as the guest OS on top of Windows XP Pro for both machines.

My desktop configuration are as below:
Intel P4 2.44GHz, 1Gb RAM, Linksys USB wireless adapter

My laptop configuration are as follow:
Intel Celeron M 1.3 Ghz, 512Mb RAM, in-built Broadcom wireless adapter

The issue is that both machines are configured to use VMware's NAT service but only my laptop seem to be able to works and connects to the Web and not my desktop.

Thinking it might be a driver problem of the wireless on the laptop, I did a ndiswrapper on the Windows driver and installed in Ubuntu but to no avail!

Would appreciate any advice or suggestion. Thank you.

have you looked into VMWares support matrix to see if this adapter is supported?
