Weird virus

I seemed to have gotten a virus or something on my computer.. Well what happens is, sometimes out of nowhere, my screen will turn black and a little box is at the bottom that says "Type your messege here:" After a while, someone starts to say something, the last time it happened, somebody threatened to wipe my hard drive if I don't give him 5 cd keys, so I put in some naughty words thinking it was just a program running, and now my computer won't start.. Has anyone heard of anything like this?

What operating system and what happens when you turn it on? Have you tried getting to safe mode?

It sounds like someone sent you some spy ware which they can detect all key strokes and control over your system. it is as if they are sitting right at your system it self they can send them in any form not only in attachment form I run pest patrol and adawear each evening along with several firewalls and nortons with zone pro and AVG pest patrol will search and delete all hacker files sent to your system to watch you and control your system we have had several msn employees infected with with such programs what I would do is re-format after a good bleaching and as far as your system not starting they might of wiped out your OS on you do you have a recovery CD or disk I keep a small hard drive with my OS on it as a copy just in case if something happens I can at least hook it up and then work on the other hard drive

Aye, Trojans such as Netbus and the like allow ppl to do things like this. If possible and you have things on your computer that you dont want to lose or others to see, try to use a personal firewall (zonealarm isn't too bad since it's free).
