I notice that I have one drive in an SSA loop that is communicating at 20 MB instead of 40. Of course the drives that butt up against this drive are at 20 on the side where they touch, but otherwise everything is running at 40. I have no link/speed errors getting logged and I am totally up to date on all microcode for the adapters, disk and enclosures. Of course my cables are also rated at 40. Anyone ever see this before I call IBM?

what show below commands when you run them in your system?

# ssa_speed -a ssa0 -p A

# ssa_speed -l pdisk0

# ssaencl -l enclosure0 -b|grep cable

# ssaencl -l enclosure0 -d|grep -e contents -e component
