Hi Guys,
I have a very very weird problem.
When my accounting runs at nite,it creates a file /var/adm/acct/sum/tacct$month$day and /var/adm/acct/nite/daytacct
Ok, I do a prtacct today to check out the statistics
Let's say I have userb
userb will be listed with 0 cpu prime and 0 cpu non-prime usage, but if you run ps -ef and grep for userb, you will see that he/she has been running a process for over 10 days.
The accounting system is turned on and all of of my permissions are correct. I guess my question is this, does process accounting of cpu usage only take place ONCE the process has ended?
Thanks,
Brent Clements
