THe problem I have is even if I delete cookies and files and delete history through internet options, the websited I visited before still remain stored. I have tried to do these repeatedly but I still can't delete the website addresses from the history. Anyone willing to help me out, please post a reply.

You can manually delete the items in your history...
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\History
I had this problem with IE 5.5 (running Win2000); however, upgrading to IE6 resolved the problem.
I did a quick search on the Internet and found that some applications such as Kazaa and AOL Instant Messenger can cause this type of behavior.

If you are just referring to typed URL's in the drop down address bar of IE have a look at this Registry Key.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedUrls

I am talking about the URLs in dropdown adressbar. Its like when you click on drop down button there is nothing or it wont show anything but as soon as you start typing it will show all the URLs that has been visited before. I tried to manually delete the history and even looked at the Registry key but it did not work. Any more suggestions. Thanks for the help.

You can also just remove the autocomplete option.
Go to internet options>content>auto complete
just uncheck the whichever you don't want enabled, and you can clear all previously typed in url's there.
I have had problems using internet options to clear history, delete cookies/files. It is easier to do it manually once in a while.
