The problem looks like cross talk inside the Legend. inside to inside conversations are hearing ringing quite frequently. anyone ever see this before? there are a bunch of ATL boards in there that im gonna rip out, but wanted to see if anyone ever heard of this before.

Not really.

Post the layout and we will see.

When you say you are going to rip out the ATL mods, does that mean their present design is about to change?

R7 processor, several ATL's, 2 DID's, a few 016LX, 2 012's, a few 408MLX's and a DS1. i was going to swap the first ATL's as they are old as dirt anyhow. i just never saw crosstalk before happen on inside to inside calls. just wondering if anyone ever experienced this before.

Well, the ATL Phones do have a REGULAR ANALOG talk path.

But, I would suspect the Customer's Wiring more than anything else.

Can you isolate the problem to a few stations?

If so, can you move them in the Legend and see if the trouble stays with the PORTS or the WIRES?

That is where I would start.

i tried having them write down a list of extensions but it seems its the whole system. it just started out of the blue. thanks for your input merlinman.
