I just installed a Partner Msg R6 2 port in a R7ACS processor.
The problem is this...when the customer presses night service the calls follow the night service setup which is answer in 1 ring- when they turn off night service the calls still follow the night service mode. If I power cycle the system the day auto attd comes on in 4 rings but if night service is pressed the problem starts again- I tried removing the night service button and reassigning it. The problem starts up again after night service is pressed. The cust was using a non AVAYA voicemail before and never had an issue. Sounds like a voice mail prob to me. Any ideas???

Check the ports in Hunt Group 7. Only the Messaging ports should be there. Remove ALL extras. Make sure the FIRST 2 ports of the Messaging are there. Make sure that it's a 2-port card, and also that it's not a mislabeled 4 or 6 port card.

Thanks Tommy
I actually caused my own problem by setting up a "workaround" so a user could transfer a caller into the auto attd. They wanted the Partner Msg. to work like the voice mail we replaced. I took x30 and connected it as line 11 with a RJ11 cable and set it up for 1 ring on day or night. I forgot to remove the lines from x30. Can't blame the customer or the eqp. for this one!!!!
Take care!!
