weird problem - checkbox and radio button doesn't work

A user called the other day because she said a radio button wouldn't let her select a different option - it just stayed on the preselected one. Another user called about a checkbox on a different page. He said that he wasn't able to check a particular checkbox.

I was able to change the radio button and check the checkbox using Internet Explorer 6 and Netscape 6.2. They were both using IE 5+. I had the users reboot their computers and the error persisted. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this sort of problem? I've looked at the code and none of the checkboxes or radio buttons are disabled. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate hearing them.

Send us the code - it'll be a lot easier to diagnose the problem. Also post any external javascript files that are part of the page.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

I'll try to put the code up here later. I haven't had a chance to thoroughly gone through it(and someone else wrote it, so I'm not exactly sure what's going on yet). It just seemed like such a bizarre little error that I thought maybe someone else had seen something like it and could point me in the right direction.
