Weird Hawking Connectivity Problem

This problem has me stumped. I have a Hawking H2WR54G Dual WAN wireless 4-port router. Periodically (pretty darned frequently, actually) we lose the ability to access the web. We are not cut off from the internet, however, because we can still get Email. I have tried to disable both the NAT and Firewall modules, to no avail. I have sent several back for service, but they have all come back with the same problem. I have even tried flashing different firmware versions. I have it connected to Comcast cable and to Verizon DSL. Currently, I have the ratio set to 50-50, although I prefer it closer to 75-25 or 2/3rds - 1/3rd. Any reasonable suggestion is appreciated.

I have continued to investigate and experiment (much to the chagrine of my family), and have reached a few conclusions. The problem appears to arise primarily when both the cable and dsl connections are active. Furthermore, the symptoms seem to vary depending upon the firmware version. Using older firmware settings, the wireless connection does not work correctly, but it seems to hold the network connection better. Using newer firmware (1.44 is the latest I have), the wireless seems to work, but the web problem is most profound. At the moment, I have the 1.44 firmware installed, and have the DSL connection inactive (set for standby only). Not the optimal solution, but, for the moment, it seems to be working.
