hi, ok a weird problem.
new site, just testing freeseating
BC12 sp5.

problem with extn is/was
when logged on, and on either incoming/outgoing, internal external call the following is happening

1> Access 1 light goes off, then 10 odd seconds later the call cuts out, middle line of display (213 phone) goes blank
2> previously on the orginal ODN number, user has not had any problems at all.

testing progress:
1> change phone
2> move equipment
3> restarted prog units which deal with generic
4> plugged another phone stright onto the frame (no faults found)
5> logged onto another phone and could not reproduce faults

now what is happening
1> on call, access1 light goes off after a while but call does not cut out.
2> the 2nd line button sometimes comes on for no reason without being pressed
3> display (middle line still blanks) but comes back when off hook/on hook operation

only differance is the usres phone has a headset plugged into the handset.

will be setting up a signal trace to see what it pulls up.

all very weeird and intermittant

HELP !

cheers

sounds like maybe you have a cabling problem from the frame to the floor port, you have proved the equ already. is there another port in the room you can use? or are you using an option unit? has it been swapped? the freeseating may be a 'red herring'.

sometimes you can look too deeply too soon... ;-)

hi parnum,

I got it fixed. a couple of things we did though

1> replaced the phone "and" the 2 add on key strips, the 2nd line button, coming on at random was on one of these strips

I also rfexi'd the system

no problems for 48 hours

cheers
