Ok so both myself and another tech bounced off connecting a polycom IP6000 to an SV9100 new install. We did manage to get 2 of the 3 Polycoms to connect once but after a system reset, they would not re connect. This was on a system where I had to change the feature codes to be prefixed by a star as the customer wanted 4 digit extensions in the 6XXX range. TAC was of little help as the only config guide they had only covered the polycom set up and didn't even cover Vlan set up or the need for a dial plan.
Anyway, The upshot is that we called in a NEC staff member who is an expert in SIP and his fix (which does work) was to convert the extensions that the Polycoms are on to 3 digit extensions!!!! Does anyone else have any experience along these lines as I find this solution hard to swallow even though it seems to work! I am amazed that the SV9100 could have a limitation like this, has anyone else had this experience?
