Weird Errors: Memory could not be written

I have a user here who is having a strange problem. At first, he told me it occurred in MS Access, today it is happening in Acrobat.

In Access, it said: The instruction at 0x77fc9906 referenced memory at 0x8328d40f. Memory could not be "written".

Same thing in Acrobat but 0x77fc9ba0 at 0x537fc64b.

He's running Windows 2000, which I just installed about 1 1/2 weeks ago. He didn't have this problem beforehand. I cannot find the error in Tech Net or anywhere else, really!

Can anyone help?
