Weird browser glitch

I am trying to make a sign in table sit on top of a logo. It is basically a table holding the logo, with the sign in table sitting inside it. That part is no problem, as a matter of fact if works PERFECTLY in both Internet Explorer and Opera 4. In Netscape however, each cell in the sign in table has the background image, or as much as it can fit, in each cell. I have specified a bgcolor attribute in each cell, but Netscape just seems to ignore that. If I am confusing you, here is the page I am referring too:

I am using Netscape 4.61 to proof this. I also have verion 3.04, but of course that version does not support the background image in the table. If anyone knows how to make the sign in table cells just stay a solid color, in this case it is #3399CC. Thanks in advance!

What if you trick it by specifying a background-image with a phony URL - make this the last in the list so Netscape won't trip over it. (?) :-Q

I don't know if I can help, but I'll put in my two cents. First, Netscape treats a background on a table different than IE. Netscape will show the background image in each cell of the table, where IE will allow the image to show through the entire table. The only way around this that I have seen is to use the DIV tag an use it along with CSS-P layer the image and the table. This works and most everything except IE 5.5 for and Apple, the positioning is a little off. Hope I could help a little.
