Hi
I'm working with sun solaris(telnet client). The /home dirctory was mounted on /opt/home.Suddenly when I logged in there was no home directory. The mount was removed. Any reason why this has happened????

There could be several possibilities:

The filesystem /opt/home may not be marked to be mounted at boot in the /etc/vfstab file. Check that file to see if the Mout at boot option for the filesystem says yes. Change it to yes if necessary. Then mount the filesystem. You may want to reconnect to the system (or su - to yourself) to get your profile read.

Your own /opt/home/<home directory name> directory may have been inadvertently deleted. Do a bdf to make sure the /home/opt filesystem is mounted. If it is, a deleted home directory is probably the problem.
