Weird 30 Sec delay right after POST???

I recently changed hard drives on my Asus A7V8X, AMD 2.6GHz, 1GB RAM, ATI AIW 9700 Pro and installed Windows XP. On boot up there is a weird 30 second delay right after POST. The screen goes black, and hangs there for 30 seconds before the Windows Loading screen comes up. When I boot from the old hard drive, it boots normally it had Windows XP also. Can anybody help cause my old hard hard drive is making clicking sounds and I think a crash is inevitable. That 30 Seconds is really annoying. Old boot up was 45 seconds. Could it be the jumpers? CD-RW is on Cable Select. New Western Digital 60GB is on Master.

Look at the boot.ini file in C:, could have the delay at 30 seconds, probably need only 1 or 2.

While one can set a timeout interval for the default load of the OS, I suspect that is not the problem here.

As a guess, it is your NIC waiting for DHCP services. The sane way to test this is using the Microsoft tool bootvis.exe,
