Can anyone out there help me with this one, I've got a Windows 98 PC that won't start. I get a Webtap Error box and then an Explorer Error box, both of them saying that they have caused an invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll.

Do you have PC-Cillin? I think that's the cause of the webtrap error. See if you can get to safe mode. Start your computer and keep tapping the F8 key and then using the arrow keys choose safe mode from the menu and hit enter. If you can't get there then reinstall windows.

PC-cillin Webtrap is a known source of conflicts, it is not really necessary for virus protection as the IO Monitor will still prevent any virus activity. You should not only disable it via PC-cillin but also delete or rename the executable file webtrap.exe in the PC-cillin folder in Program Files and uncheck it in the msconfig utility under the startup tab. All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.
