Websphere Newbie and I need help

Hi
I'm simply trying to install Websphere Portal Server v6 for use by the developers in my unit. The install seems to have gone fine and the service is running, however when I select Launch Websphere, the Web page opens with a Unable to resolve computername.domainname.

I'm assuming that the the port, 10038 that Websphere is trying to connect to, is not open and therefore something is missing. What have I missed in the install?
