Websphere Edge Server 2.0 compatibility

I would like to upgrade to edge server 2.0 on Solaris 8.0 on a current architecture having edge server 1.0 (ND 3.0) on Solaris 7 , HTTP Server 1.3.12 and WAS 3.5.6 on Solaris 8.0

Is Edge Server 2.0 compatible with HTTP Server 1.3.12 and WAS 3.5.6 ?

I worked on Edge Server 5.1/6.0 and they were not related to the versions we use on web and app layer. I'm not positive but I don't think version of edge server is dependent on IHS or WAS versions.
