WebSphere 4.0.2 AE on S390 Linux - Admin Server startup error

Hi,
I installed WebSphere 4.0.2 AE on S390 Linux(Suse Linux).
I am not able to use the startupServer.sh script to start the admin server. When I look in the tracefile it says that it is not able to connect to the database (TCP/IP sockets 111 error). From a DB2 window, I can however connect fine to the database.
I reinstalled everything and am facing the same problem. The node has been catalogued for TCP/IP too.

Has anyone faced a similar problem ?
Can someone help me with this ??
