Hi all,

I'm nearly complete with this site and just want to get some comments on it, good or bad.

Before anyone views it, the content may be offensive to some people, this is an adult site. (In no way a porn site though)

If you have read the above and still want to see it, it can be found at:

Thanks to dwarftower and decree for your comments, there was a problem with the previous post so I lost your comments. [sadeyes]

Any comments appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Wullie

The wavy line looks good for the main page, but it's distracting on the other pages.

One suggestion, how about keeping the menu options open when going to a product listing? Probably make for easier navigation.

Other than that, the flow is really good. Myself, I don't judge a site based on how well I like the design (even though I do my share of nitpicking), but rather how easy it is to find what I want, and being able to find everything I want to find. This site accomplishes the first point very well; and as for the second point, that's up to the opinion of someone who actually shops at these places.

Succeed in both points listed, and I'll continue to shop at a site no matter how hideous the design. But that's just me.

Hi mate, nice site..the design too :)

Few comments:
1. I agree about the wavy line, looks good on some pages but doesn't match well with the product tables.

2. In the search box, i'd make it a bit more obvious by putting a value of something like "enter search terms" or "product search". Some of us need it stated more obvious :)

3. The transition from the wavy line to the top banner image is a bit harsh, i.e. it suddenly goes from a lighter purple colour to a dark colour, might be good to add something there, like a drop down list, current date or the search box etc I think you just need something to disguise the colour change

4. In the postal address, it is required to put in "The Warehouse", just sounds a bit dodgy.

5. Bottom right image: "Delivered in plain packaging" would "discreet" be a better word here?

6. Sub-menu options, the text could be a bit darker, easier to read.

7. Footer, copyright notice etc?

Excellent site as usual Wullie!

Thanks guys,

dakota81,

The wavy line looks good for the main page, but it's distracting on the other pages.

Unfortunately, there isn't really much that can be done about this. The wave looks much better than a straight line and it could be considered even worse to change it on sub pages from the way the main page looks. Point noted.

One suggestion, how about keeping the menu options open when going to a product listing? Probably make for easier navigation.

Tried it, results were terrible. People didn't know where to click etc. I've partially added a breadcrumb trial to help navigation now.

Cian,

In the search box, i'd make it a bit more obvious by putting a value of something like "enter search terms" or "product search". Some of us need it stated more obvious

This is soemthing I'm trying to work on, I did have a phrase in there but it looked out of place.

The transition from the wavy line to the top banner image is a bit harsh, i.e. it suddenly goes from a lighter purple colour to a dark colour, might be good to add something there, like a drop down list, current date or the search box etc I think you just need something to disguise the colour change

This is something that people either like or dislike, I've had mixed comments about this but fortunately most have liked it.

In the postal address, it is required to put in "The Warehouse", just sounds a bit dodgy.

This site has a full backend admin panel allowing him to update everything throughout the site, besides, it's the building name. [lol]

Bottom right image: "Delivered in plain packaging" would "discreet" be a better word here?

6 or a half dozen? [wink] Seriously though, both pretty much the same, will try it when I get time.

Sub-menu options, the text could be a bit darker, easier to read.

Had a few comments about this, trying to find a better way.

Footer, copyright notice etc?

I'm confused, as there is a copyright notice. What did you mean by this? If you mean't an actual legal info page, that's still to come.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

Any other comments welcome.

Hi wullie,

I can not help much on this subject, at this stage, but can only say my wish that someday, I could create site like yours and use that in real (not linked to any adult or such nature.. I believe that is your present requirement).

The comment is meant to convey you.. it is nice and wish you all the best. :)

Had a good look round this site - purely in the interests of thoroughness you understand - but can't add much to what's already been said.

I don't like the wavy line down the LHS, it really jars with the straight lines elsewhere on the page. As an idea, could you move the top logo a little to the right, and extend the closed zipper graphic to repeat down the page so the menu is on its left and the rest of the site is on the right. This might integrate the parts of the site together better (or might look utter rubbish! :))

Hi mate,
Copyright notice, cripes I must be going blind! I was looking at one of the product pages when I made that suggestion, thought the bottom of the product page looked a bit bare ;-)

Wavy Line
I guess you get used ot it, but have you removing it altogether, maybe just have a box around the menu?
That might look crap though.

Do we get any discounts if we shop there?

Hi mate,

The menu was originally in a solid box, but it changed the feel of the whole site as it made look too square.

Discount? No idea. [lol] You would need to wait until they started delivering to Finland. [wink]
