Website links missing part of path when viewed by macos/linux clients

Hi I am running a W2k server running IIS 5 and I have > 100 users creating webs using FrontPage, their webs are named

http://www.ourwebsite.com/GruopXX/user

and the url refering to the web is

http://www.ourwebsite.com/GroupXX/user/page.htm

if a user adds a link to his page that refers to a file located in the same web (directory)
< a href=&quot;newpage.htm&quot;> my new page</a>
and a client uses MacOS or Linux based computer to access the page the links are missing the user from the link path ?? the link points to

http://www.ourwebsite.com/GropuXX/newpage.htm

Any thoughts on the issue would be greatly appreciated
