Website Automation...Is there a way?

Hello all, I was wondering if there was a way to automate things like Setting up a DSN, setting permissions on directories, adding/changing FTP login credentials etc. We are setting up a web hosting server and while we can do all of this at the terminal, it would be VERY nice to allow the customers who choose to host with us to do it. I am interested in a web based front end of some sort that our customers can log into and have pretty much total control over their web site with the above mentioned attributes, more if possible.

I have not worked with the .Net server yet but I read that a web interface comes with it. Also the configuration is now stored in an XML file.
