Website access remotely NOT working correctly

The problem is when I access the server from the outside (my house lets say) I go to " and I get the banner asking for my username and password (so far so good) but after that it doesn't forward me to " it stays at "
If I go to " from the outside it works perfectly.

Does any have any ideas to get this to work without using the default.aspx on the end of the website?
