We have recently set up an intranet website. The only way I have been able to give people full viewing access to the website without them having to enter a password is by setting each person up on the server with a username and password. I have the server set to allow anonymous users but this does not solve the problem. I would like anyone at our facility to be able to access this website without username/password or having to be set up on the server. Is there a way do do this?

Thanks.

Anonymous access will do it, there must be a misconfiguration somewhere within IIS.

Make sure that you give the IUSR_machinename account read access to your site under the NTFS permissions on the site and that you enable anon access within the website properties using the IIS MMC.

If there are resources that they are accessing on other servers from this website (for example virtual directories on other servers), then most likely they will be prompted. Check the security of the files/folders that they are attempting access. If you want anonymous access to work in this case, make sure the IUSR_Servername has the appropriate access to the files/folders.
