WebScanX.exe generates errors in Windows 2000

I am running McAfee VirusScan 5.21.1000 on a Windows 2000 system and every time I try to enable Download scan, E-mail scan and/or Internet scan I get the following error:

"WebScanX.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows"

After the error, the check box to enable Internet scan is unchecked. The check boxes for both Download scan and E-mail scan remain checked but the VirusScan console indicates that they are disabled and if I leave them checked I get the same error (listed above) every time the system reboots.

If it's not too much trouble, upgrade to version 7.0x. This fixed a lot of the issues in 5.x and 6.x.
