I set a background of #CC9933 in my Flash movie, and when I exported it and embeded it in my page, which also had a #CC9933 background, the colours did not match exactly.

This was in Internet Explorer. Can anyone advise?

There are only 512 websafe colors. You should use the "Use Web Safe Colors" option when selecting your colors if you plan to export the movie onto the web.

Hope this helps.

Hmmm. So, even if I have the websafe option selected in Photoshop, and Flash is using colours from the hex codes, and Dreamweaver is also using hex codes, it might still not match in the browser?
