I am a K-12 network admin and don't have much if any webpage programming knowledge. I have one of my websites that a teacher has designed using FrontPage (I believe), where the side frames and a graphic don't show up under IE8, but show up just fine under IE6 and IE7. I have tried the compatibility view, added the Microsoft suggested compatibility header to both the site and even as a custom header for IIS6 on my 2003R2 web server and still no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction on getting this fixed or is she looking at a complete redo?

I would suggest a complete redo. Get her off of that program.

FrontPage is a discontinued product and it is a bit funny that Microsoft's own browser cannot display content originated in another Microsoft product.

She might have an upgrade option available to jump to Microsoft Expression Web - - or since this is in the education field, it is possible to buy most any other WYSIWYG editor very cheaply.

I would recommend Dreamweaver whole heartedly. Its a great tool to use and offers a lot and at a great price for education version.

Also tell this teacher to not create the page using frames as those can be quite the pain.

She got it to work by opening the page in Dreamweaver and doing something to the page, I sure don't know and I don't think she does either ;-)

"Smah", you nailed it on the head, come to find out, she did use Publisher to create the page instead of FrontPage like I was originally told.

Thanks everyone for your input.
