WEBMIN DNS HELP!! Mandrake 8.1

I have webmin installed and I want to host my own dns. So I want to make forinstance vfear.com go to 192.168.1.1 how would I do this??? I know I need a external static I am giving the local ip as an example. But when I clikc on Bind 4 dns there are options create a new master zone or create a new slave zone. What do I want to do to get this going and how do I make ns1.vfear.com. Please help and if you can give me screen shots that would be awesome but that is probably asking way to much so dont worry about it. If I can just get some help I would appreciate it. thanks

Hi,

You'd need to use the Bind 8 stuff as Mandrake 8.1 would have version 8 or 9. Also, to host your domain as primary dns server you would create a master zone not a slave zone.

Bind and DNS is one of those techie areas that can be a bit difficult to get to grips with if you're doing it for the first time. Even webmin generally tends to assume you understand the principles and termingology.
