Hi,

I have a clustered back end infrastructure with a total of 16 mail stores. I also have antigen running as my antivirus. I am using the /3GB swith in the boot.ini file to allow lots of memory for Exchange.
About ever 3 weeks, the http service fails and the iis websites for Exchange go down and will not come back online. I need to restart the full service to get it back online. I am pretty sure that the issue is b/c there is less than 20% of available memory left and therefore IIS shuts itself down. I have disabled real-time scanning by antigen so that there is not a lot of memory in use but this makes little or no difference. I am at a loss of what to do.

Okay, so we've heard about the backend. What about the front end?

What's in the event logs?

The fact that there is less than 20% of available memory left is not surprise with Exchange.

there are 2 fe servers but they are fine, it is only on the backend that the IIS fails.
Nothing in the event log other than, clusvc failed
