We are running Win2k server with roaming profiles but we are not running Exchange server.

We would like to accomplish roaming email profiles but we do not want to run Exchange server.

One way of doing this is by having everyone use Webmail (our mail is being hosted by an ISP). However, we lose the convenience of being able to click on email links and having a compose window popup or clicking on email icons in certain programs and having a file attached and ready to be sent.

Is there any email client or way to configure Webmail that could accomplish this?

Im not sure exactly what it is your asking but I'll have a go....
It sounds to me what your trying to do is have the functionality of Outlook but retaining the flexability of having your email live on an ISP server. By webmail I assume you mean you get your messages through a browser, like you would from Hotmail or Yahoo.
Most ISP's allow POP3 access to mailboxes. You could do this with Outlook Express (or Netscape Mail, Pegasus Mail or about 100 other packages). This would give you some of the mail functionality you get with Outlook without the need to bring your email inhouse with Exchange. The downside is that you wouldnt get things like Task lists or Calendaring. With some carefull setting up of Outlook Express and roaming profiles it should be possible for the users email to effectively follow them around from PC to PC.
I hope that answers what you were asking.
