Hi there,

I have a very odd problem with my Notes 5.10 webmail.

If a user sends mail from the Notes Client, the from address is fine (fbloggs@mycompany.co.uk). If the same user (any of them in fact) sends from web based mail the from address is completely different (fred_bloggs/mycompany@domain.mycompany.com. Recipients of mail sent from the webmail can't reply because the senders mail address is invalid and the replies just bounce.

I can't find any settings in Notes Admin that would make these changes to the senders address.

Any suggestions?

TIA,

Q.

I believe Notes will look to your Global Domain document for conversion instruction. Check the following within your NAB on your server:

Open names.nsf, Server, Domains. Open your Global Domain document and click on the conversions tab.

This happened with us a while back, and I think some conversion change corrected the problem.

Let me know if this helps.

Rgds,

John Judge

Thanks for the suggestion John but everything on the Domain settings page is OK - I reset and re applied the settings just to be sure.

It's the fact that this only happens when using web mail that's really puzzling me.
