Yeah, I haven't had any problems with it on my home computer. Unfortunately, WebLogic does not yet officially support XP so if you are having problems than BEA is just going to tell you to wait a few months until 7.0 is officially supported on XP. This happened to us with Windows 2000 and 6.0 about a year back.

Are you using WebLogic 7.0? Did it worl straight out of the box?
I have not have had success with 6.0 on XP.

I am running both 6.1 SP2 and 7.0 on my XP box and neither has any problems.
