WebFocus 431 under Windows XP 2

I am currently running WF 431 under Windows 2000, though
I'm sure it was originally designed for an earlier version of Windows, possibly W98. I'm getting a new p.c. which will have XP as the default operating system. Will WF work in this environment or will I need to install W2000? Thanks!

Not sure but it should work. IBI will probably not support this configuration. I do not believe 4.3.1 is supported anymore. The current release is 5.3.2. 4.3.5, 4.3.6, 5.1, and 5.2 were its predecessors.

4.3.6 is OK under XP. 4.3.1 will probably be OK but you will almost certainly have a problem with MRE because new PC's ship with Sun Java and MRE only plays with microsoft Java. The XP default security settings can be problematic too.
