We have an oldish Creative Nx Ultra webcam. The picture and audio are not very well synced. Is this because it is USB 1?
Would I be better off getting a USB 2 camera and board to plug in into, as the pc is USB 1?
Also, any recommendations for a webcam. It is to be used for video email mostly.
ta in advance

Wouldn't worry about USB 1 or 2 to much. You need to look at:

Frame rate e.g 10 frames per second
Resoloution e.g 640x480

Ideally you need to find out both at the same time. So you may see:

50fps @ 640x480
25fps @ 800x600

What you want are the highest numbers possible.

However, that said, you have to realise that it will require more bandwidth or result in larger files sizes.

If you are sending over email, look for the type of file formats the software can uses.

MPEG2 or 4 would be a good bet.
