hi guys

right my friend has installed her web cam, but when trying to send cam via msn its showing a black screen. Can any-one help here? its really frustrating.

thx in advance

By MSN do you mean Windows Live Messenger? Are you fully updated with whatever program you mean?

How is it if you run the Audio and Video setup under the Tools tab? Make sure in the drop down list for the setup you have your webcam listed and selected.

Are the any clues in Device Manager or the Event Viewer?

all says its detected, when trying to start it off msn (windows live messenger) it still shows as a black window. its an older web cam so maybe thats why, very old drivers. oh well. thanks for helping :D

will scan a computer and may at least tell you if there are better drivers around the place. Of course the Webcam manufacturer should be the first port of call.
