when i use the webbrowser control to contain visio in Visual C#.NET and then attempt to open a visio doc, the user gets prompted with the following:

File Download

You are downloading the file:

Blahblah.vsd from C:\Temp

Would you like to open the file or save it to your computer?

[Open] [Save] [Cancel] [More Info]

I have tried playing with Internet security settings, file associations, uninstalling office, installing the visio viewer (this seems to work...) reinstalling office (problem resurfaces). I'm sure I must be missing something, but I don't know what - does anyone have any suggestions?

kind regards,

Phil

I have no answer, but I can tell you what we found:

If I accessed a file upload area we built from home, i woulnd't get the prompt. But, if i tried to access it from work, I would.

So we figure it must be either something in the different browser versions or its a local machine setting that is prompting it.

If anything further comes up, I'll let you know.

Jack
