webbrowser control popups and cookies

I have an app that uses a webbrowser control. The pages that it hits sometimes spawn child windows using javascript, but those windows don't have access to the cookies of the main window (sessionID). This causes the child windows to say "invalid session". Is there a way to make javascript window.open commands work in a webbrowser control the same way as IE5? No webbrowser control method seems to be able to do this.
