I have one of my branches that for some reason are getting are getting the message "mailbox unavailable" on the second login screen in webaccess 5.2. (Other info: NW 4.11 GW 5.2) I found the TID# 2919518 and nothing seems to apply. They've been logging in just fine until yesterday. The other oddity is this morning I came in and I thought I would re-boot their server and see if that had any effect and as my workstation was booting up (I have network drives mapped to all servers) it stopped at that particular server and said it couldn't be found. Nor could I find it in AdRem Remote Console, or Rconsole. My local server did not show it down and I could ping it, so I called the branch and had them re-boot the server. When it came back up the only difference is that it finally came up in rconsole. I get an (8884) error in AdRem Remote Console which means server can't be found. I checked on the server and needed nlm is loaded for AdRem and mailboxes are still unavailable. Does anyone have any idea what else I should be looking at??
Thanks

is this server communicating ok with other servers?

do a dsrepair - check timesync
then do a check partition sync

any errors?

Checked everything / everythings okay. Even did a full repair. Came up with no errors! This is really odd!

on the server - in dsrepair - can you go into servers known to this server

are all other servers listed in it

Hi,

Do a display servers on that server and another that is supposed to see it.

I have seen Network cards go bad in such a way that it would communicate in one direction but not in the other.

ok, I have more information. DSrepair run on the offending server came up clean. I ran dsrepair on the main headquarters server this morning and came up with this error on the offending server:

Checking server: BRIDGEPORT.BRIDGEPORT.COD
Could not find a net address in SAP for this server

All the other servers looked like this:
Checking server: ROMULUS.ROMULUS.COD
Found a network address property on the server object:
Address Type= (IPX), data[12]= 000004440000000000010451
Checking server address in Replica ID: 4, [Root]

When I looked in NDS manager Bridgeport has its address listed in the replica info.
I have to admit, I have no idea where to correct this at!!
Does anyone have any idea??
Thanks
Annette

I'll check it out and let you know what happens
Thanks

It appears that that TID is for Netware 5 and above, I have NW4.11. If I do a display servers at each one of my servers all of them show all the servers except for my main server which holds the master [root] replica. I loaded inetcfg and checked the settings for the offending server and they look the same as the settings on the rest of the servers. I'm stumped!!
