Is it possible to use webstart to start applets (not applications) using a specific virtual machine.

reason I ask is that I want to run several apples from teh same browser session that use different virtual machines.

basically this causes a problem 'cos the browser just connects to the VM it loaded for the last applet.

I have had webstart touted as a way of forcing it to use a specific plug in, but everythign I read suggests that web start is for runnign applications and not applets.

Which JRE the client uses is up to them - registry settings, PATH variables etc.
