Looking for some feedback on a scenario:

Multiple copies of the same web application exist under different domains. The application is designed to periodically check back with the "mothership" web site to determine if any of the .ASP/.HTML pages have been updated.
If an update exists...the Admin is given the choice to download/apply the update.

What security and/or technology challenges are presented by this scenario ? (or is it just simply create the necessary ASP code to back up the file and then copy the new file from the "mothership" site ??)
