WEB SITE AND URL ?

I CREATED A WEB SITE THRU ISM 5.0 - UNDER DIRECTORY D/INETPUB/

http://WWWROOT/RSG/.

THEN I WENT IN VISUAL INTERDEV TO "RSG" AND CREATED A HTM PAGE - CALLED MAIN.HTM.
NOW - I WANT TO GO THRU MY BROWSER (IE) AND VIEW THAT PAGE?
WHAT SHOUND MY "URL" BE??
I ONLY HAVE I WEB SITE ON MY SERVER - SITE "RSG" THE "IP" IS UNASSIGNED PORT NUMBER IS 82. wHAT SHOULD MY "URL" BE??

If you added this site under the 'default' web site, then the URL should be:

http://nameofserver/rsg/main.htm

where "nameofserver" is just that, or an IP address. If you use a non standard port add it after the servername

//nameofserver:82/rsg/main.htm

or (if dns not set up)

//123.456.789.132:82/rsg/main.htm

IF you configured the site in IIS to be a new Web, then you would have given it a new IP address (or port number in this case). In this case you would not need to specify the rsg directory:

//123.456.789.132:82/main.htm

I TRIED THE SOLUTION YOU SUGGUESTED AND I ALWAYS GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR:
ERROR 401.1 UNAUTHORIZED LOGON FAILED

WHENEVER I TRIED TO GET HERE THRU INTERNET EXPLORER. i CHECKED MY SECURITY ON TH EWEB SITE (THRU ISM 5.0) - I HAVE AYNONOUS SETTING ONLY. THANKS FOR ANY HELP

There are two systems at play here. Firstly is IIS and its security. Secondly there is the Operating system security - Windows/NTFS.

Both the file (main.htm) and the directory it is in should have read permissions for the 'annonymous' user (IUSR_servername and IWAM_servername).

And have you tried using the capslock key. It can make your messages much easier to read.
