I am trying to teach myself web services in D5E. Using TWebModule, I created a "Hello World" dll (ISAPI) that just creates a simple one line html. I tested it on my local IIS and it works fine. HOWEVER, when I transfer it to my web hosing service, no go. I contacted tech support at Here was thier reply:
"Our servers are Unix/Linux based. Therefore, a Direct Link Library (.dll) file associated with Microsoft will not work on our servers. This is why you are unable to call the file."

Can this be true? Is there no way to use delphi to produce pages on Apache servers?

(Please don't submit any D6, D7, dot-net or Krylix solutions. Not interested, but thanks in advance for ANY suggestions.)

Roo:

I've written many cgi-bin web apps that run on my Apache2 server....but.... my Apache2 server is running on Windows.

Since your webserver host is Linux based, I would have to presume that you would have to write a Linux based cgi-bin at the VERY least. That would imply Kylix or some other Linux based compiler, no?
