Hey, i want to set up a web server on my G4 imac 1.25 gh. I just want it to test my php files, not to let traffic in, just a test place. Does OS X panther come with this or do i need to download something.

All i want is php so thats the only extra i need.

thanks

You should have Apache installed.
Goto: System Preferences\Sharing\
under services, tick the personal web sharing box, this will start your apache web server, underneath the box it will tell you how you can view the computers web pages.

To install PHP i suggest the package from Marc Liyanage's website:

For example, for your computer's web sites, put your pages in:
HDD\Library\WebServer\Documents
In your preferred browser type:
...as the address, it should show your page!

Good Luck!
