Web Server setup with Linksys Router

Alienware with duel Xeon and 2gbDDR.
Linksys WRT54G router with 1.55 firmware

Windows Server 2003

I would first like to thank all who put this forum together. I believe networking is a great tool.

I am trying to get this server on my home network. I have assigned a static address to this computer. I have port 80 open and my service provider has an open port policy.

I can’t find any help on Linksys website to configuring 1.55 firmware. I set up the router to forward port 80 to the server’s ip address. I am using easyDNS.com to point my web address. Any computer in my network can access the website using the domain name. But, anyone outside my network get a time out message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

first of all looking at linksys 1.55 doesnt exist

To configure a server you need to go to the config screen when you are logged into the router and go to the "applications & gaming" tab.. there you can follow the instructions and fill in the port forwarding information.

That should fix it.

I do apologize I listed the wrong router it is WRK54G and the firmware is 1.55.02 this is in the left hand corner when I log unto the website

I have set the port forwarding under application/gaming port80 to the static pc and still no outside computer can connect.

Hello Forum

I found the problem and fixed it was not the router it was the static address with the DSN company I had put the wrong IP address in.
